Viswanathan Ranganathan is a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer at Netflix, where he builds deployment infrastructure that enables thousands of engineers to safely release software. His 11-year career spans healthcare, e-commerce, communications, enterprise software, and streaming - each domain contributing to his expertise in reliability at scale. He has served as a founding engineer on analytics platforms processing over 250,000 events/second and designed governance frameworks that reduced developer onboarding time by over 99%. His approach emphasizes product thinking applied to infrastructure - designing systems from the perspective of the engineers who use them. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Houston and is a Senior IEEE Member.
