Dr. R. Arjun holds a PhD. in Information Systems from NITK, India in 2021 and a Masters in Software Engineering both done with full scholarship. He has a total of 9 years teaching experience in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level courses. He believes in imparting a student engaged pedagogy using problem based learning and case studies. Dr. Arjun has 12 indexed scientific publications. In 2024, he received a Research Award from VIT university. An early career researcher of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), he is on the cohort of 2023 MISQ Scholarly Development Academy certification of MISQ journal (FT50). His overall teaching quality assessed in student feedback with average 90% rating in 2021-2023. His project students have won cash prizes to the tune of 1800 USD in industry sponsored hackathons. He was a Co-PI of a consultancy project for Worldline SA (France) at VIT with a budget of approx. 2200 USD. Being a passionate academic, he supports scholarly training activities for disadvantaged communities through AuthorAid. Dr. Arjun renders services on the editorial board of prestigious journals published by Cambridge University Press, Elsevier, IEEE, INFORMS and is rated as an excellent reviewer in Clarivate. Currently, he is working on a collaborative research project that explores the feasibility of quantum computing infrastructure in organizations. Recently, he was inducted as a member of National Working Group on Quantum Technology (NWG-QT) constituted by Govt of India.
