Generative BI & Enterprise RAG
Abstract:
While Large Language Models (LLMs) have transformed conversational interfaces and text processing, their integration into enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) has faced significant operational hurdles. Chief among these are numerical hallucinations, lack of structural schema context, privacy/governance risks, and non-deterministic behavior when executing financial and operational queries.
This keynote presents an end-to-end architectural framework for Generative Business Intelligence (GenBI), a hybrid system design that couples probabilistic language models with deterministic semantic layers, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) over structured schema catalogs, and real-time execution guardrails. Attendees will learn how modern enterprise software architectures translate unstructured natural language queries (e.g., "What was our net margin variance across Europe in Q3 compared to our dynamic forecast?") into validated, performant SQL or Cypher code that executes directly over enterprise data lakes (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks) with minimal numerical hallucinations.
