Talk Title:

SAP HANA Data Tiering

Abstract:

As enterprise data continues to grow at an unprecedented pace, organizations must optimize both performance and infrastructure costs without compromising business agility. SAP HANA Data Tiering provides a strategic approach to managing data across hot, warm, and cold storage tiers based on business value and access patterns. By keeping frequently accessed data in memory while moving less frequently used data to cost-effective storage, organizations can improve scalability, reduce total cost of ownership (TCO), and maintain high application performance.

This session explores SAP HANA Data Tiering architecture, key technologies such as Native Storage Extension (NSE), and best practices for intelligent data placement and lifecycle management. Attendees will learn how to design scalable SAP HANA landscapes that balance performance, cost, and operational efficiency while supporting growing data volumes and evolving business requirements. The session also highlights real-world implementation considerations and emerging trends in workload-aware data management, enabling organizations to build resilient, future-ready SAP environments.
