Beyond Code Generation to Self-Evolving Intelligent Systems: How Agentic AI Is Transforming Software Architecture
Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming software engineering, yet most organizations continue to struggle with a fundamental challenge—keeping software architectures aligned with continuously evolving business requirements. Traditional architecture documentation quickly becomes outdated, creating architectural drift, increasing technical debt, and slowing innovation.
This keynote introduces Agentic Architecture Evolution (AAE), an industrial AI-driven framework where specialized autonomous agents collaborate to continuously transform business requirements into living architecture artifacts. Rather than treating architecture as static documentation, AAE enables intelligent agents to generate, validate, synchronize, and evolve component models, API specifications, sequence diagrams, deployment topologies, and implementation guidance while maintaining enterprise governance.
The presentation explains how Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), enterprise knowledge repositories, GitHub Copilot Agents, and large language models can work together to create architecture that evolves alongside software systems. Insights drawn from industrial experience with large-scale digital commerce platforms highlight improvements in design quality, development velocity, governance, and long-term maintainability.
The keynote concludes by examining how Agentic AI is redefining the future role of software architects—from document creators to AI-orchestrated technology leaders responsible for governing intelligent engineering ecosystems.

Renjith Ramachandran is an independent researcher and solutions architect based in Hudson, Massachusetts, USA, with extensive experience designing and modernizing large-scale enterprise software systems. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Soft Computing Research Society (SCRS), Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow of the British Computer Society (BCS), and Fellow of IETE.
His work focuses on intelligent software architecture, agentic AI systems, security observability, cloud-native platforms, and the practical application of large language models and autonomous agents in industrial software engineering. He has published research on AI-assisted architecture design, multi-agent systems, and software security, and holds patents related to digital platforms and real-time systems.
