Talk Title:

Autonomous Threat Modeling and Failure Injection in Cloud-Native Financial Systems

Abstract:

The topic explores autonomous threat modeling and failure injection in cloud-native financial systems, addressing the growing security challenges created by microservices, Kubernetes, regulatory requirements, and rapidly changing attack surfaces. It applies the STRIDE methodology and MITRE ATT&CK framework to systematically identify threats and translate real-world adversary behaviors into testable security scenarios. The approach integrates Security Chaos Engineering to proactively simulate failures and malicious conditions while continuously validating preventive, detective, and corrective security controls. Artificial intelligence further enhances this process through predictive analytics, anomaly detection, automated generation of context-aware chaos scenarios, and remediation workflows. The framework also incorporates Policy as Code, admission controls, governed automation, and immutable audit trails to maintain compliance and accountability. Overall, the proposed approach shifts financial cybersecurity from reactive incident management toward continuous, predictive, and autonomous security validation. The ultimate objective is to develop secure, resilient, and self-healing financial architectures capable of detecting, isolating, and recovering from failures with minimal disruption.
