AI-Powered Intelligent CI/CD Pipelines for Enhanced Quality and Security Assurance
Abstract:
Modern software delivery demands faster releases without compromising quality and security. Traditional CI/CD pipelines rely heavily on rule-based automation and manual monitoring, which often fail to detect complex defects and security threats early in the development of lifecycle. This paper presents an approach to building
intelligent CI/CD pipelines powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance quality assurance and security assurance simultaneously.
By integrating machine learning models into CI/CD workflows, the pipeline can automatically analyze code changes, predict potential defects, identify vulnerable components, and prioritize test cases based on risk. AI-driven static and dynamic analysis improves bug detection accuracy, while anomaly detection techniques monitor pipeline behavior to prevent malicious activities and configuration drift. The proposed framework demonstrates how AI can continuously learn from historical build data, test failures, and security incidents to optimize pipeline performance and reduce human intervention. This intelligent automation ensures faster releases, higher reliability, and stronger protection against emerging cyber threats. The study highlights real-world use cases, challenges, and future directions for AI-enabled DevSecOps environments.
