From Pixels to Decisions: Vision-Driven Intelligence in Retail Automation and Autonomous Systems

Abstract:

The convergence of computer vision and enterprise AI is fundamentally redefining how large-scale retail and logistics operations sense, reason, and act in real time. This keynote draws from production deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to examine the architectural challenges of bridging vision models with hybrid AI-rule engines, ensuring low-latency inference pipelines, and embedding governance and auditability into vision-driven workflows. Key topics include real-time CV inference using Vertex AI and Cloud Run, multi-modal agentic pipelines, confidence-gated decision routing, and the role of AI guardrails in ensuring trustworthy outcomes in production systems. Attendees will leave with concrete architectural patterns—grounded in enterprise retail experience—that are directly applicable to autonomous systems, intelligent robotics, and vision-driven decision pipelines across domains.
