AGI and Its Transformative Impact on Personalized Medicine
Abstract:
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is set to revolutionize personalized medicine by enabling intelligent, adaptive, and autonomous healthcare solutions. Unlike narrow AI models, AGI can process and synthesize vast multimodal datasets—genomics, electronic health records (EHRs), real-time biosensors, medical imaging, and lifestyle data—to deliver highly individualized patient care. This shift will drive early disease prediction, precision diagnostics, personalized drug development, and dynamic treatment optimization. AGI-powered systems can analyze complex biological markers, predict disease risks before symptoms appear, and recommend tailored treatment plans based on a patient's genetic and clinical profile. In oncology, AGI can assess tumor-specific genetic mutations and suggest targeted therapies with greater precision and fewer side effects. Additionally, AGI-driven drug discovery will leverage in-silico simulations, molecular modeling, and AI-enhanced clinical trials, significantly reducing the time and cost of developing new therapies. Beyond diagnostics and drug development, AGI will enable continuous, real-time health monitoring, dynamically adjusting treatment plans using wearable sensors, patient feedback, and live medical imaging. This shift from reactive to proactive healthcare will improve patient outcomes, minimize hospitalizations, and enhance overall quality of life.
