Leveraging AI for Cloud Database Workloads Performance Tuning Post Migration

Abstract:

As enterprises increasingly migrate Oracle workloads to cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS), performance degradation post-migration has emerged as a critical concern. Despite the promised scalability and agility of cloud environments, variations in infrastructure, suboptimal configurations, and outdated performance tuning strategies can result in inefficient workloads and increased operational costs. Traditional methods such as manual AWR analysis, SQL plan management, and reactive diagnostics often fail to scale or adapt to the dynamic nature of cloud-native architectures.

Profile:

I am currently serving as a Technical Manager, Database Services at Concentra HealthCare Inc, where I lead and support key technology initiatives that drive innovation and efficiency within enterprise solutions. With over 18 years of experience in the technology sector, I specialize in leading complex digital transformation initiatives, architecting scalable enterprise systems, and optimizing performance across cloud and on-premises environments. My expertise spans database architecture, large-scale migrations including Oracle EBS implementations and cloud modernization efforts on platforms like AWS. I have successfully led end-to-end database migration programs, including consolidating legacy systems into Exadata, migrating critical workloads to AWS, and architecting high-availability solutions leveraging Oracle RAC, GoldenGate, and multi-region cloud-native services. My work has significantly reduced operational costs, improved system reliability, and accelerated time to value for enterprise IT initiatives. In addition to technical leadership, I actively contribute to the advancement of industrial and systems engineering by publishing thought leadership articles on topics such as cloud computing, AI-driven process optimization, and resilient data architectures.
