This article explores how AI can serve as a catalyst for struggling retailers by enhancing operational efficiency, improving customer experiences, and driving profitability among many other improvements highlighted below. Key applications of AI ineCommerceinclude personalized shopping experiences and converting website visits to sales, efficient inventory management, automated customer service, and robust fraud detection. The article also examines case studies of successful AI implementation by leading retailers such as Amazon and Sephora. Despitethenumerous benefits, the integration of AI presents challenges, including technological investment(especially for a struggling retailer on a technology budget), data privacy concerns, ethical considerations and many others that are highlighted in this article.
