Architecting Cloud-to-Edge AI for Perception and Decision Systems in Robotics

Abstract:

This talk explores how cloud-based AI workflows can be engineered to support perception, learning, and autonomous decision-making in robotic systems. With examples drawn from both enterprise-scale implementations and simulated robotic frameworks, the session highlights how tools like Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, BigQuery, and real-time inference engines enable the fusion of sensing, processing, and actuation. It emphasizes designing resilient architectures that deliver intelligence from cloud to edge — especially for robotics in dynamic, real-world environments. The talk will also touch on applications such as intelligent navigation, sensor integration, and context-aware robotic responses using scalable ML models and event-driven orchestration.
