Empowering AI and Robotics with Advanced Cloud and Storage Technologies: Innovations and Applications

Abstract:

The convergence of artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and control systems demands robust, scalable, and secure storage infrastructure to support data-intensive applications. This presentation explores recent advancements in cloud and storage technologies, including AI-driven storage optimization, software-defined storage (e.g., Ceph), and hybrid cloud architectures, and their pivotal role in enabling intelligent systems. Drawing from practical experience at Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP), where Ceph storage clusters were deployed with RedHat OpenStack to achieve a 25% performance improvement for HCM data processing, the talk showcases real-world applications of storage innovation. Key trends, such as immutable snapshots for security and AI-native storage for predictive analytics, are analyzed for their impact on robotics and IoT. The presenter, a Titan Award recipient with 15 scholarly articles and publications in International Business Times and TechBullion, highlights how these advancements align with AIR 2025’s vision of revolutionizing industries through AI and robotics. The session aims to foster collaboration and inspire future research in storage-driven intelligent automation.
