Title: Integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) in Cognitive Medical Robotics. I will be discussing how Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT-4 and Med-PaLM are being integrated into cognitive medical robots to support the growing needs of smart hospitals. With the ability to understand and generate human-like language, these models are helping medical robots interact more naturally and effectively with patients. How these systems work from capturing voice input, understanding patient intent, and connecting with hospital systems like EHRs, to delivering personalized, context-aware responses. A key focus will be on nurse-assistant robots that can help with tasks such as medication reminders, patient triage, and real-time communication with healthcare staff. Cover some of the technical challenges we face in deploying these systems, such as ensuring privacy, minimizing hallucinations, and meeting clinical standards and share some solutions and architectural strategies that can make these systems more reliable and scalable. Whether you're working in healthcare, AI, or robotics, I hope to provide a practical and forward-looking perspective on how LLMs can help make hospitals smarter, more efficient, and more patient-centered.
