Optimizing High Availability and Disaster Recovery for Large-Scale SAP HANA.

This session will explore a dual-purpose strategy for High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) in large-scale SAP HANA environments. We will focus on leveraging a secondary HANA instance—typically configured with a reduced memory footprint—to serve both as an HA failover solution and as a DR target. This approach not only ensures business continuity but also delivers significant cost savings by enabling the secondary system to support non-production workloads or operate as a "hot standby" during normal operations.
