SAP system builds with vRA and Template Automation

Abstract of talk :

Modern enterprise landscapes demand rapid, repeatable, and secure deployment of complex systems like SAP. Traditional manual provisioning methods are often slow, error-prone, and difficult to scale across environments. This presentation explores a streamlined approach to SAP system builds using VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) and template-based automation. By integrating golden OS templates, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and orchestration tools, organizations can significantly accelerate SAP deployment timelines, reduce operational risks, and ensure consistency across development, test, and production environments. We’ll walk through the end-to-end workflow—from user request to fully provisioned SAP systems—highlighting the benefits of self-service provisioning, automated network configuration, OS bootstrapping, and software deployment. The session also discusses best practices for template management, governance integration, and future scalability.
