Engineering Scalable, Trustworthy, and Responsible AI Systems: From Big Data to Agentic Intelligence

Abstract:

In today’s dynamic digital landscape, enterprises are increasingly reliant on scalable, intelligent systems to transform vast volumes of data into actionable insights. This keynote will explore the evolution of AI systems—from foundational machine learning to generative and agentic intelligence—and the critical need for engineering them responsibly at scale. Drawing on real-world experiences from large-scale data engineering, real-time analytics platforms, and GenAI integrations in industries such as retail and healthcare, the talk will highlight architectural blueprints, design patterns, and governance strategies that enable both scalability and trust.

Key pillars such as data reliability, model explainability, fairness, human-in-the-loop design, and compliance with emerging AI regulations will be emphasized. With practical illustrations involving Databricks, Delta Lake, LLM orchestration, and agentic workflows, this keynote aims to provide a practitioner’s roadmap to building responsible AI systems in production. Attendees will walk away with a strategic and technical perspective on architecting trustworthy and autonomous intelligence, aligned with enterprise goals and societal expectations.
