A distinguished UK-based Consultant Radiologist with over 35 years of cumulative clinical experience, including nearly 21 years within the National Health Service (NHS), UK. Dr. Manickam is an internationally respected expert in paediatric radiology, healthcare leadership, medical education, and emerging applications of Artificial Intelligence in imaging and public healthcare systems. Currently serving as Consultant Radiologist and Lead Paediatric Radiologist at Mid and South Essex NHS Trust, United Kingdom, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London, he has played a transformative role in establishing integrated paediatric radiology services across multiple university hospitals within the NHS. His work has combined clinical excellence, academic innovation, governance leadership, workforce development, and strategic healthcare planning at regional and national levels. Over the past two decades, Dr. Manickam has developed highly specialised expertise in paediatric and neonatal imaging, congenital disorders, emergency radiology, oncological imaging, GI/GU radiology, multidisciplinary clinical pathways, and cross-sectional imaging.
